Jean Marie Cacciabaudo, MD, vice president and chief medical officer at South Shore University Hospital, is a fellowship-trained cardiologist who previously served as medical director at Huntington Hospital. Prior to her role at Huntington Hospital, Dr. Cacciabaudo was the medical director of Peconic Bay Medical Center, chief of cardiology at South Shore University Hospital, and associate medical director at Long Island Jewish Medical Center.
During Dr. Cacciabaudo’s previous tenure at South Shore University Hospital, she played an integral role in bringing complex cardiac care and open-heart surgery to the community. Throughout her career, Dr. Cacciabaudo has been involved in research related to the diagnosis and prevention of heart disease in women. She served on the Eastern States American Heart Association (AHA) board of directors and has been a spokesperson for the AHA for more than 20 years.
