The evolution of FourLeaf
It all began in 1941 when Grumman Plant 1 and 2 Federal Credit Union officially opened its doors as a financial alternative for Grumman employees to manage their earnings. With just 114 members, the goal was to meet the changing needs of members through personal service and value.
Grumman Employees Federal Credit Union officially changed to Bethpage Aircraft Federal Credit Union.
Bethpage Aircraft Federal Credit Union became Bethpage Federal Credit Union.
We installed the first drive-up ATM on Long Island. Today, members have access to over 30,000+ surcharge-free ATMs nationwide through the Co-op network[1]
Our headquarters opened at 899 South Oyster Bay Road in Bethpage. Many FourLeaf employees now work at this office, which also houses the Bethpage branch.
We received approval for the largest federal Community Charter in the US, opening membership to anyone in Nassau and Suffolk counties.
We became the title sponsor of the Air Show at Jones Beach.
The annual Jones Beach Air Show has become one of the largest and most highly anticipated events on Long Island. Each year, tens of thousands of people gather to watch the high-flying stunts and aerial maneuvers of performers, including the U.S. Navy Blue Angels and the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds.
Our first Annual Turkey Drive took place, with 4,000 turkeys and 5,000 pounds of food collected.
Since 2009, our Turkey Drive has become a cornerstone of community support for food insecurity on Long Island, providing Thanksgiving meals to families in need.
We reached $5 Billion in assets.
We acquired NYC-based Montauk Credit Union and its open charter, making membership available to anyone across the country.
We reached $11 Billion in assets.
Our membership grew to exceed 440,000, with 32 branches across Long Island and New York City and nationwide online access.
Our first New Jersey branch opens in Cherry Hill.
After months of extensive market research, brand studies, and strategic planning, Bethpage became FourLeaf.
